Microsoft’s sales of Xbox 360 consoles beat Sony’s PlayStation 3 by a three-to-one margin during the Black Friday holiday shopping opener. Microsoft credited its low price point ($199.99 USD) and broad range of game titles as the reason for surge in Black Friday sales.

Good OS (or gOS if you’re hip) announced the release of Cloud, a micro Linux kernel that launches immediately into a fully functional web browser. Cloud also includes access to commonly used tools, such as Skype and Media Player.

Zoho released CloudSQL today, allowing its customers to directly access data stored in Zoho services via SQL, including access via ODBC and JDBC. Data in Zoho’s services was previously available only via their APIs, but now with CloudSQL customers can write direct SQL queries to retrieve data.
