Need 25gb of secure online storage? Try Microsoft SkyDrive.
The Microsoft SkyDrive service just got a boatload of new updates back in November. Included in this update was a bump from 5gb to 25gb of online storage, plus some other cool features:
More control over your online data
You asked us to make it easier to organize and download your files, so we’re answering you with four key new features to address your needs:
- Download photos directly to your Windows Live Photo Gallery.
- Download as a .zip file. Download an entire folder in one compressed file (initially available only in the United States, Denmark, and Ireland).
- Move files between folders.
- Copy files to multiple folders.
Here’s a screenshot from the service, which includes the ability to share folders and create public shares as well
Also in the future for SkyDrive: the ability to synchronize your bookmarks across multiple instances of Internet Explorer. That’s kind of cool, I guess. But I like the Google Toolbar better for bookmarks – it works across multiple computers and multiple browsers.
