uTest Bug Battle finds Internet Explorer 8 has least bugs
uTest, the virtualized QA department that I’d written about previously, recently performed a Bug Battle with over 1,300 testers. The results were interesting: Internet Explorer 8 came out with the fewest bugs, 168 were discovered by their testers. FireFox came in second with 207 bugs, and Google’s Chrome was in last place with 297 bugs.
Whether this means that Internet Explorer 8 is the most stable of the three is debatable. One problem in relying solely on bug counts is that it doesn’t give you an idea of where those bugs are, or how likely it would be that a user would be tripped up or completely blocked by the bugs on a frequent basis.
