Disqus, the JavaScript-based commenting add-on for blogs and community sites, will soon be getting Facebook Connect support, allowing users to log into Disqus and post comments on blogs with their Facebook account. The new upgrade will also allow blog owners to optionally send events back to Facebook once a user posts a comment.

I missed the updates about this in the evening on Monday. Shortly after announcing integration with Google’s Friend Connect service on Monday, the Twitter team was quick to follow up (in Tweets, no less) that they are planning to integrate with Facebook Connect. Google announced on their Official Google Blog today that the Google Friend Connect Service now features Twitter integration, allowing you to see who of your friends on Twitter are using the same site you’re using, or tweet about the site you’ve discovered.

Microsoft recently recruited OpenID Foundation co-founder Dick Hardt as a new partner architect on consumer, enterprise and government identity solutions.
You may remember Hardt from his work on Sxipper, the identity plug-in for FireFox. Hardt has also co-authored the OpenID 2.0 specification
